Jenny Bousfield - Principal

I gained my teaching qualifications with the Royal Academy of Dance  in 2005 after extensive dance and teacher training and experience. I have taught in schools in West Sussex and have performed in various theatres in Sussex, Surrey and the West End. Since graduating from the Royal Academy of Dance, I have regularly taken courses to expand my teaching knowledge.  I am qualified to teach the Progressing Ballet Technique syllabus and have studio licenses for the world renowned Pirouette Surgery and Leap Surgery.  My child protection and first aid training are up to date and I hold a valid DBS certificate.

Although, as is customary, I teach under my maiden name, I am married and have a son and a daughter who both share my passion for dance more than my husband's passion for football, (much to his dismay)!

Maxine Bousfield

As well as being Miss Jenny's mum, Maxine is a big part of the JBA family.  She is a familiar  face to all pupils and their parents and is well loved by all.  She gives up all of her time during show season to make costumes, which enables us to provide them to pupils at a fraction of the usual cost, and as a result, enables all pupils to participate  in our shows.  Maxine has been making costumes for over 25 years.  She is a perfectionist at heart and strives to make every child's costume as special as the next. She can often be found running down the road in her heels, a bundle of tutus under her arm and a tape-measure in her hand.
